Metal objects and 3T MRI - conflicting info whether it causes "burning" during the scanning

I have stainless steel sutures from a Shouldice Hospital hernia operation decades ago.

Read posts that any metal object can "burn" or even "move" during a 3T (3 Tesla) MRI.

Called my hospital and Shouldice.  Both said, "not a problem" and "it won't burn".

Also, the hospital MRI tech said that the Foley catheter can stay in.  (Same with ultrasound, from a phone call that I made yesterday.)

Your comments?

I read a article that said some stainless are not effected by a MRI. They even have tools and instruments designed to be used during a MRI. Says most staples and sutures, if in place more than 4 to 6 weeks should have little to no issues.
