My bloods have came back high in cobalt and a revision is now required. I am 41 I had my mom hip when I was 30. Has anyone in the uk experienced the same ?

just a short note, there is an interesting doco on netflix. There,s a short segment on there about m o m replacement. It will open your eyes that’s for sure, I’m going in for a conversion from arthrodesis to a thr on the 16th of this month. I havn,t been to my pre op appointment as of yet but i will not be having a mom, the doco is called , bleeding edge, all the best, rgds ian
Hi, yes my levels where the highest they’d ever seen! I had to have a replacement and 2 years after the metal was taken out of me, I still have metallosis not as high but still too high for my liking. I was 25 when I had the resurfacing and it lasted 8 years before I ran into problems, no one will ever know how long I have the metallosis for!
