I had exactly the same feeling. I was also taking hydroxychloride 200mg two tabs a day and prednsolon 5mg per day reducing to half for some time until I stopped it completely. As for hydroxychloride I tapered off the dose and finally stopped all medicines. All my lab tests for RA became negative. I repeated the tests every 6 months with negative results. But lately now almost after 3 yrs I am feeling some swelling and pain and stiffness in my wrist and fingers small joints. But I am managing with pain killers if needed. Once or twice a week.
have you tried a diet with no sugar and no dairy? This cuts way back on swelling for me.
I am on Enbrel and this really works for me.

Thanks. Iam already on diet as far as sugar is concerned but I take very little dairy products. Instead I use peanut butter.
