Hi..does anyone suffer with acid reflux whilst on methotrexate..any suggestions to get rid of it if so? thanks in advance

Thank you so much for this post. I suffer from acid reflux and have been dealing with it for a few years now, can’t even drink a cup of coffee in the morning without throwing up. It never even crossed my mind that it might be related to taking Methotrexate.

Just read that folic acid may help :slight_smile:

I had terrible stomach problems. Prilosec or Nexium help some people. My rheu matologist finally put me on Rasuvo, which is a
methotrexate injection pen andI have had no more problems.

Oh gosh yes I do :roll_eyes:. I take lanzaprazole daily which helps. Also I try not to eat after 7pm and lie on my left side when possible in bed as find the right side induces the reflux, I then take 2 rennies

may I ask, are you on injectable or pill form? And what time of day are you taking it?

hi the pill..take in a morning..reflux can be 4 days later

I injected methotrexate for a while when I was suffering from acid reflux. Easily done. Check with your rheumy.
