I'm 26 and have had 'migraine symptoms' since February and no one can figure out what's wrong with me. I've been on propranolol, topirmate and now flu arising but nothing works. I have immense pressure in my head every day, my face goes numb, pins and needles, eye twitching, shooting pain in my jaw, my skin hurts and I can't get any relief. I feel drunk half the time. Please help I am at my wits end. I'm not seeing my neurologist until January
It sounds like your not being taken seriously judging by the drugs they ghave given you. Goodluck with your appointment as they may mention Occiptal Nerve treatment.
Regards
Chris
Hi Robyn,
Sorry you having such a tough time and Flunarizine not helping much. I can offer you all my support and understanding as all my symptoms returned too and have only recently come out of hospital again.
It could be like me that a combination of Pregabalin and Verapamil in conjuction with Flunarizine might help, not saying cure, as it hasnt cured mine, but it does help.
So Robyn keep in touch, I can at least offer you my full support and understanding as always.
Bests wishes
Steve
I'm so sorry to hear this. That is a long time to suffer. Since you mentioned pain in your jaw, have you been to your dentist lately to see if anything could be affecting a nerve. Dental issues have been known to cause headaches. Just a thought. Another thing I learned is that migraine sufferers are low on magnesium. You may consider taking an absorbable form of magnesium (400 mg/day) to see if that helps. It did for me. Feel better soon.
