hi ive had the mineria coil last year in august due to having periods for 6 weeks and its suppossed to ease of its calmed down a lot but find i end up wearing pads for 3 weeks at a time and its getting very annoying coz its messing everything up i went on it after being told it can stop periods which i wanted but still stuck with them. is it safe to take a pill aswell to stop me from bleeding for 3 weeks at a time??

This is normal for at least six months i had exactly the same problem heavy spotting one day light the next, it was so annoying,i asked the doctor to take it out.She pleaded with me to keep it in a little longer i did the spotting stopped now i only get spotting once every 4 months no periods at all,give it a little longer i would not take the pill i think the doctor can give you a tablet to help.Good luck julie.
hi ive had it since august 2013 thats why getting fed up with it im not having it took out but just wanted it to sort itself out as sick of wearing sanny pads constantley thanx for replying x
Hi again,yes 14 months is too long i would talk to the doctor,3 weeks out of 4 is not good i had a copper coil before the marina and only bled 1 week out of every month.see your gp i think you have put up with it for too long.good luck julie.
