Hi everyone. Hope someone may have some advice for me. I suffer from Depression and anxiety and at the moment I am on Duloxetine 40m . I have done most of the antidepresents out there . The only one that worked for me was Mirtazapine but had to come off because of how angry it was making me. I miss how it made my low mood go away and I started doing jobs around the house and basically started living again. But I was so angry all the time and eventually I had to make the decision to come off them as I was making my families lives unbearable. My question is, has anyone had anything prescribed to counter the effects of the anger issues and still took Mirtazapine. I dont know if there is anything you can take in conjunction to calm you down. My only other options after Duloxetine are Amytriptlyne ( which my GP said she wouldnt prescribe me ) and Quetiapine. Keith, I did respond to you before but sadly it was censored. I simply typed into my favourite search engine, natural ways to treat my complaint problem(s). I have used ( Y o u T u b e) as well it is a matter of sorting the wheat from the chaff, but I look at it this way who really is telling the truth? I think if we took a truck load of vitamin C made from oranges or a truck load of vitamin C made in a lab one would be a little better I think freshly squeezed. So my simple message you are a free person and start your research now.
Surely this will not upset the system this time I question do we really have free speech any more?

Anger issues seem to be a common side effect of Mirtazapine, which isn’t right for me which is why I am tapering off.

mirtazpine I was on 20 years ago it made me sleepy that is all I remember.
I’m on amitriptyline 200mg at night and quetiapine 600mg I’ve borderline personality disorder I’m also on a another few meds .
amitriptyline really helped me and quetiapine but why won’t your doctor prescribe amitriptyline?
if it’s making you angry you gotta weigh up in your mind what matters first..being well and angry or keep trying meds and be ill.
this post is old but in my opinion I’d keep to mirtazipine unti you find a new fit or a med to help the anger.
