So, I've started on Mirtazapine two weeks ago and wondering if anyone has experience with it treating their anhedonia/lack of interest?
Hi i been on mirtazepine now for 5months for depression and bad anxiety. It helps me sleep but leaves me with foggy head every day. Im on 15mg the lowest dose i tried to half the pill for three days but that sent my anxiety thru the roof. I wish i never started them
I took mirtazapine for a few weeks but it made me too sleepy and spaced out. I was working at the time and it was impossible. I still take a very low dose to help me sleep but am on sertraline now which suits me fine.
oh... but did it anyhow help with the depression eventually? or were there only the side effects more visible than the positive effects?
Hi lafuzia - i've been on mirt for a few years and found that it has helped me. I had tried Efexor before which was a nightmare. The same med can have very different effects from person to person. You state that you have only been on mirt for two weeks and these drugs can take 3 - 6 weeks to reach full efficacy. Your body will need to adjust to it. If you have any problems bring them up with your doc. Anti-depressant meds are not a one-size-fits-all solution, and sometimes it can be a hit-and-miss journey. Good luck to you.
