For the last months i have ended up on mirtazapine 7.5 with diazepam 5mg in night to sleep. I am still depressed and every time i try to increase mirtaz i get suicidal ideation and terrible dreams. Tried tricyclic and ssri, worse on them. Should i try to get off the meds altogether?
Hi Ann, id perhaps give it a few more weeks, then if no improvement speak to your GP or phychiatrist. Did you not give Olanzapine a try?

No, i tried risperidone and was poleaxed by a small dose, after a week i felt my brain wasnt working properly and i was very fatigued and down, needless to say the psych then put olanzapine on back burner a h said it was stonger.
my body just seems to have such awful reactions to all these. I will have great problems trying to lower diazepam if thats on the cards
