Can i take 40mg citalopram & 15mg mirtazepine safely together.?
been prescribed them by the doctor,for depression and anxiety.

I've heard lots on other forums and this one of people being given two antidepressants to combat depression/anxiety. Lots have given great reviews.
I think the Cit is for daytime and the Mirt for nighttime.
Usually doctors only give you one antidepressant but physiatrists often prescribe two.
I think if your doctor has given you these then it's perfectly ok to take them. He knows better than we do about how these drugs interact or any problems they may cause.
Keep us updated in how you get in with them.
I was on Citalooram and went on Mirtazapine without tapering so I still had Citalopram in my system for a while as well as the Mirtazapine.xxx
