You mentioned you sent me a private message yesterday but nothing has come
No Ann you must be mixed up. I messaged Paulo telling him of the name of the group I'm in as he had asked me.
Sorry, i misread that,
down to 3,75 now and asked for liquid but GP says not allowed to prescribe. Soltabs only. I am scared of next drop as its about 12 weeks since this last drop and im still having nausea and ibs troubles along with anxiety.

Hi Paulo, sorry to read of your CT suffering. I've never read of anyone being able to function after a CT.
I just want to reply about the side effects at the lower doses you enquired about. For me, and of course we all experience different WD symptoms at different percentages - some can do 10% a month some 5% some 2.5%. For me it was in average 5% every 2-3 weeks.
So to reply ... at 2mg I was still foggy, blurey eyed, still able to sleep well. At 1 mg I felt great, little or no symptoms. I followed my taper right down 0.9, 0.8, 0.7. Etc. To 0.1 mg. Finally alternating days, then twice a week, once a. week
Hope this helps a little. 😊
yes i am in uk and could not get liquid ,ive got some small scales that will measure to the mg , i plan to use them down as far as i can then go on to liquid , i found 13.5mg was pretty easy to do with a nail file, i will now go 5% every 2-3 weeks i think , good luck
thanks for your input Calmer it really helps as you have been there , did your taper go well all the way down or did you have any set backs can i ask please and when did you stop the 5% ie did you stop at 1.0mg going down 0.1 every cut after ?
Hi
just wanted to say in also in uk but when I asked doctor for the liquid to taper down from 15mg he looked at me as if I'd lost my mind!!!
i have 4 doctors in my practice and not one of them agreed that there was any withdrawals from mirtazapine.. when I asked my p.doc she also told me the same jump of at 15mg...
i had one 15mg mirtazapine tablet left so I'd no other choice but to break it in half and drop from 15mg to 7.5mg for 2 nights then jump of as my doctor wasn't giving me prescription for anymore...
glad to say I'm 8 wks free from mirtazapine!!!!
Makes me so annoyed that docs insist there is no withdrawls !!!!
Good luck to everyone who is trying to lower or get of this med !!!

Just THINK before you post, there are many people who have other medical conditions where they are physically unable to do the things they would love, like join a gym.walking, swimming etc, this may have contributed to their depressions in the first instance.
Chrisy you are so right. It is such a difficult problem for some of us who are just unable to say we will get up and do all these things. Trying to get through a day is sometimes as much as we can do. Cbt can tell you what you need to do, but as for doing it, thats a different matter.
all we can do is hope for better days, hope the med side effects arent so bad, and plough on as best we can.
Hi, i am still going very slowly. Suffering from nausea and ibs quite a lot for several weeks now. I am wondering if this is the mirtazapine or is it due to my ex gallbladder causing gastric upsets. Dr isnt sure. I have to report the horrendous migaines have gone which is great. At my next lowering will all that come back do you think? Im just not sure what is coming from mirtazapine and what is my natural state. I do know im still very tired, no motivation and wonder if these will ease when drug out of system. There are no plans to put me on other ones as ive tried so many and bad results. I still wake depressed but at least the vivid nightmares have lessened thank goodness.
Hi sand
did your doctor wean you of mirtazapine?
If so your lucky because I wasn't weaned of it from 45 mg over a year ago nor was I weaned of 15 mg 8wks ago ,infact my gp or my p.doc never heard of weaning of mirtazapine when I questioned it...
I was took of it over night!!!
as for going to gym walking and getting out and about it's really impossible when your feeling crap...
I guess some suffer more than others coming of this drug but my withdrawals were a living hell !!!
good luck to all who is trying to get of this drug

Can i have the group as well
Is waking feeling that heart is racing a part of all this mirtaz lowering alongside my anxiety, or have i now got another problem?
Sent you private message..
Ann
when I was still on mirtazapine I wakened every morning with racing heart and panic attacks so I think it's mirtazapine really don't think you have anything else going on...
i never had racing heart or anixety until I was put on mirtazapine but also when your anixety is really high it can bring on panic attacks which makes your heart race...
