I have been on birth control for several years and have hardly missed any pills, let alone two days in a row. When I realized that I had missed two pills in a row on the third day I took three at one time. This was at the end of week 1 of the pack. I then began to bleed a day later. Once I began bleeding I threw out that pack and began a new one that following Sunday as if I had started my period and was starting over. I have now been bleeding for 11 days. What does this mean and what should I do? Should I discontinue taking the birth control pills?
