Has anyone else had problems with meds not being given on time? This is the third time it's happened now. I've not had meds for 3 days now last time I went 4 days without them. I'm so fed up I've contacted chemist and doctors so many times and they keep blaming each other, I don't know what to do. The chemist told me today to try to call 111 and ask them if a doctor could send over an emergency prescription but even if I did that tonight the chemist is closed so it'd still be tomorrow at the earliest of they can do it. I'm now thinking..what's the point! I'm so fed up I may just stop taking them altogether now I know that's probably a bad idea but it can't be good for me to not have them consistently either and I'm sick of having to keep trying to chase them when they should be there each week 😞
Hi dondons - I don't understand how you are missing days at a time. Surely the prescription from the doc to the chemist supplies you with months is not several months of repeat prescription refills?
Sorry, meant to type "if not several months." What I mean is, there should be an ongoing supply of meds that you need? Are you seeing more than one doctor?
I'm supposed to pick mine up from the chemist each week. I'm only allowed them weekly because I'm a suicide risk but recently they've been messing them up and not been there and the chemist and my doctors are blaming each other I don't really care who's to blame but it shouldn't keep happening x
Dont just suddenly stop taking them. You need to taper off slowly otherwise you will find yourself in a mire of withdrawal symptoms. Just when you are almost out of your medication you can ask for a refill. Like that you will always have some pills in hand if there is a delay.
