Missing raised toilet seats

following my 6 week post op check up my husband removed the 2 raised toilet seats !!!!!!!!! Wow !!!! It felt so low almost like lowering oneself onto a kids potty lol

I am tall and so had been using the maximum height toilet seats and wouldn't have managed without them but now they have gone I miss them so much lol

has anyone else found this ??I know that I don't them anymore as I am doing really well and getting back to normality but I just miss them 🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹

Yes I agree.after my 6 weeks of first hip I was the same and really missed them but my husband was desperate to remove them as he had difficulty aiming with a smaller target area and couldn't wait to get them off,

I missed them at first, I think your body knows just where to lower yourself to. I am sure after a couple of days it will adapt to the new/previous level

Hi Jay,

Yes, I missed the seat (literally) at first but then got used to the new level. Keep crutch handy for raising yourself back up.

Hugs

Hi Jay

I missed them too when they finally came off last time and Im not very tall. The worst bit to begin with is getting up again!

Good to hear you are doing well.

I do not want my raised seat to ever go.  I had trouble lowering myself before the op, if my seat goes,,,,, OoooErrrr

Keep it forever then lol

Hi jay. That's funny.   Great to get. What huge mile stone achievement. Congratulations Annie

Great to get rid!

As for myself I am looking to keep the "THRONE

as is ... What a huge blessing even hubby likes it. LOL his aim is better ( wink wink)

 Hi Jay,

I kept it between the 2 THR's !!!!  couldn't have done without it ...

I might keep mine too ...

Yes, too low...I like the high seat mine also has the rails on each side. I'm keeping mine on always, I have a bad low back and this seat helps a lot with that, and I am over 5 months post op.

In a post sometime ago one lady who was loathe

to give up her toilet raiser was told by her consultant

to take it with her on the cruise. She was 6 months

post op.

Do what is comfortable for you. You have priority in your

house because you've had an op.

he could give my husband some lessons ......

Well this is my best friend, I've had mine since the first TKR last july of 2014, then Nov 2014 TKR now Sept 2015 TLHR so now I'm still going to keed it bc I'm looking at a Total left knee revision, & I'm 5'10", my throne is like getting a new car, gotta love it from the start, hard to part with like an ole friend maybe I'll upgrade to a new model LOL !!!

btw I've raised & lowered it more times than musical chairs whew....

I had 2 one I bought myself and one on loan. The loan one went back but I've still got the one I bought on the downstairs loo - I rather like not having to bend so low!

I have the rails too. what an amazing difference than the one my mom has that just tightens in the front with a knob. Handles definately make a difference.
