Mitrazapine

Hello everyone I have been taken mitrazapine for less than a month. I am on 15 mg and the doc gave it to me for sleep, however I am also on Zoloft and risperdone. I would like to stop the mitrazapine because I feel that I am taking too much medication. are the mitrazapine withdraw symptoms really harsh? Also I suffer from really bad vertigo and heard that Valium is really good for it? Is this true? Anyone had good experiences with Valium

And vertigo? Please let me know! Thank you

Hi you have not been on mirtazapine long enough to have withdrawal symptoms. As for diazepam l personally don't believe it would be a solution for vertigo as a side effect is dizziness. It is also highly addictive.

Never heard of Valium for vertigo. Just relaxes you a bit ( take for anxiety but only small doses can be very addictive. Would ask doc, my docs good and only gives small amounts for when bad symptoms. Don't know about your other meds but I came off an opiate once and it was hell. Anxiety worse. Please never google as I was told I would be better on a week , then went into blind panic, anxiety told me I had done some damage and was terrified ,.always ask your doc what he thinks is best for you, want you to be safe, but great people here ,may know more. Talkbanytime. ❤️

I was on Mirtazapine 30 mg for a couple of months and had to stop because the side effects were terrible. I just stopped taking it without tapering down the dose (as advised by the psychiatrist) and had no withdrawal effects.

I will say, if you feel you are on too much medication you should discuss this with your doctor as they should be able to advise you best (and will also be the best person to ask about the vertigo)
