hello, i am just curious if anyone has ever mixed amoxicillin antibiotic while taking celexa?? i have heard mixed reviews on weather or not is safe fir tour heart.any info would be greatly appreciated. it seems i cant take anything anymore while taking this drug and has honestly made terrified to mix anything with celexa as i have had horrible interactions in the past with alchohol , muscle relaxers, and a cortizone shot i once got for my back. Took me almost a tear to recover from that one and its horrible side effects. seems dr.s are mot aware of all interactions and that has made me distrust when they give me something and tell me to take it and it will be fine. anyway any info would be great!
i was given doxycycline and had such a bad reaction i wouldnt have believed it if it didnt happen to me . Some doctors still say i dont think it was the antibiotics but i know it was . I actually ended up in A &E it wss very frightening so i am afraid to take anything as well although amoxicillan is a different type of antibiotic which are suppose to be ok

I was on 875/125 augmentin/amoxicillin clavulanate for 24 days due to an infection from my upper left molar. The infection was real bad my face blew up. I was ok with that med and I’ m on 10 mg celexa almost a year.

I can only speak for my own experiences but I also have a hard time taking medication and always worry there could be a reaction from it. I weigh out the pro’s and con’s and talk to the doctor and pharmacist and make sure they are aware that I am on celexa (which I’m sure they are) and ask about the interactions to comfort myself. Talk to both of them any time you are worried about interactions, they do this daily and I’m sure have come across the situation many times.
