Hi Gang, Just wondering if anyone has taken trammdol as well as Citalopram ? I went running yesterday which I normally only cycle or use other forms of exercise equipment and tweeked my ankle quite painful just wondering if the mix is recommended or any advice Thanks!
It says on the leaflet not to take tramadol with Citralopram. Incase of a reaction. Same goes for Ibuprofen.
I have been taking citalopram and tramadol by prescription for over two years and have had no problems. I am sure you will be fine.....keep on running
Hi Kirsty, Gone girl,

Thanks Sylvia
SSRI's are quite safe to take with almost all medicines, but not Tramadol, MAOI's or Zyvox. Apparently Tramadol is pain medication that also blocks the reuptake of both serotonin and another brain chemical called norepinephrine.
So no.

If ever in doubt, you can check online. People ..... you must not take Tramadol - read the leaflet that comes with the meds. You may feel ok, but really .... no.
Hi Kate, Thanks for that its quite strong trammodol so yeah I may just stick it out avoid any meds for pain (getting better anyways) thanks xx
I think most general pain relievers are ok, but not those ones. On the whole though, Citalopram seem quite safe with most other medications. Typical when you want to take the one that isn't
