MK7 or MK4 after endometrial cancer?

I've topped up my calcium, and Vit D3 and my K2 -MK7 arrived today but googling it I'm freaking out a bit.  There seems to be conflicting views on if it's dangerous for anyone who has had endometrial cancer or if it's safe?  I've also read that MK4 works better for osteoporosis, even though it's half life is very short, so could do with some advice here please?  I'm getting awfully confused about what I'm reading.  Am I right in that the Natto in MK7, although it can act like an estrogen, ISN'T and estrogen, so is safe to take?????  Thank you for any help!

Hi Chris, Natto is MK7 and I have some in my freezer which I delve into occasionally if I'm feeling brave - it's a bit pungent! Personally, I use MK4 (Thorne - am and pm because of short half life). I have done two things which have helped me immensely I joined the NOF online discussion forum. It is easy to join. There is masses of information out there, and there is currently a long thread totally devoted to.Vit Mk4 with some very knowledgeable people posting on it. Secondly, as recommended on the forum, I bought several very good books, one of which is called Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox by Kate Rheume Bleu.

Thanks Carol:-)  I've got the MK7 supplements but I'm worried as to if the estrogonic effect could be bad since I had endometrial cancer, and can't fathom out if it's dangerous or not!  I'll look for the NOF online forum.  Just looking at my results I'm below the 'treatment' line anyway, but would like to stay that way!  Even though they did put me on Alendronic Acid!

I've just ordered the Thorne Mk4 Carol.  Just too worried about the estrogenic effects with the MK7 after having endometrial cancer.

How worrying for you! Glad to hear your scan results were 'below treatment line' though, as you say, why put you on alendronic acid in that case. I have to say that I feel empowered by gaining knowledge through my own research and really benefit from being part of a supportive, well informed forum. Best of luck to you.

Carol, you are so right - the ability to gather as much information as is out there, and then make your own decisions is so much better than having to trust a local GP like we've got here!  The best of luck to you too!  In the meantime, my husband's going to take the K2 MK7 so hopefully it will do him good:-))))))
