Moduretic or aldactazide?

Both have hctz except moduretic contains amiloride as k-sparring and aldactazide contains spironolactone.

Which one would be effective with less side effe ts?

Maxzide/dyazide isn't available here.

Hi Aron,

My first ENT had me on spiranolactone alone, and in 4 weeks I became hyperkalemic.   My current ENT switched me to Triamterine/Hydrochlorothiazide 37.5/25mg 2x/day, and I haven't had a problem for nearly 13 months. He feels it's the safest one for MD/long term use.

Sorry....I didn't see this note before typing my reply!  I didn't realize Dyazide wasn't available there.  So...just ignore my message that follows! Thanks!
