My first ENT had me on spiranolactone alone, and in 4 weeks I became hyperkalemic. My current ENT switched me to Triamterine/Hydrochlorothiazide 37.5/25mg 2x/day, and I haven't had a problem for nearly 13 months. He feels it's the safest one for MD/long term use.
