So, I’m having a bit of an anxiety attack here. I feel myself coming down with a really swollen throat, ear aches, terrible headache. But this isn’t your usual “mono” throat ear and head issues... I feel that this is distinct. Also seeing faint white lines inside my mouth like strep
So freaked out about coming down with something else on top of mono when my immune system is already compromised !!!! Has anyone had to deal with mono and a secondary issue ?? (

So sorry to hear you've been hit with this when already been feeling so beaten up with mono. I remember about 3 months after I first took mono and was still feeling terrible, I got hit with a horrible flu and sickness bug as well which floored me and kept me in bed for a couple of weeks. It was awful but remember your body is stronger than you think, it will cope and you will get through it even if it is another virus or bug - please take extra rest if feeling that way and keep taking vitamins and herbs if you can just to try to boost your immune system.
It's so disheartening and frightening I know Van, just hang in there and remember the secondary issue will pass over and mono will also pass over too given some time - the day will come when you're back to full health again, I know it must seem so far away right now but I still truly genuinely and honestly believe you're going to make a full recovery - just look after yourself right now, be kind to yourself and allow your body rest and recuparation and pampering because it deserves and needs that right now when going through such a hard time. God will bring healing I truly believe - hang in there.
Thinking of you man and just cope with each day when feeling the way you are, really hoping things settle down soon you deserve it as I know it's been such a hard time.

Thanks for the reply, it is always appreciated. How is your back doing? I know you’ve been getting advice from people who want to help you as much as you’ve helped them.. have you tried doing the treatment injections that supposedly help with back pain? I think steroid injection? Thinking of you. You will also get through this, you are strong and our bodies are always healing.

Thanks for the kind words and support, it is always appreciated too. Yeah I had an epidural steroid injection 2 weeks ago but unfortunately it's not worked very well and made me quite a bit worse for a period after it. Hoping everything will settle down. I know how it feels to feel like you've tried everything, so know what the folks with glandular fever are going through too in that respect. It's not easy.
