Waiting on the results of the test still but all my symptoms are textbook for a first herpes outbreak... flu-like experience with headaches, nausea, fatigue, muscle pain and extremely painful sores on vagina, watery discharge, etc. I’m in agony when I need to use the washroom and it hurts just trying to move around. However I’ve been exclusive with my boyfriend for 3 months now and he seems fine. Could I have been infected with herpes long before and only experiencing such a painful primary outbreak now? Started feeling the the flu-like symptoms 4 days ago and then the sores became irritable a day after but I hadn’t noticed them at all until yesterday when I was in so much pain I had to see a GP.
Yes you could have been infected before or it's possible your partner has it but shows no symptoms.
