Hi Ron

eye floaters and shortness of breath are common with anxiety. I had both plus many other symptoms of anxiety starting in my twenties.  They are harmless. But I always suggest that anytime a person has new symptoms, just have a visit with their doctor to get checked out and have peace of mind.

People tend to have increased anxiety in the morning because of a buildup of adrenaline.  You can have better control of your anxiety by learning ways to manage it.

I spoke with a counselor who helped.

I also listen to audio meditations on you tube daily for anxiety or sleep, etc. many to choose from!

One that would be great for you is called

“Mindfulness breathing Guided meditation 10 minutes “

It helps you to gain control and focus on your breath to relax you. You can do this anytime and anywhere! Practice it in the am .

Do things that relax you even if just taking a walk,

dont take life too seriously

drink plenty of fluids. The Brain Is made up of mostly water and needs to be hydrated.

anxiety will make symptoms worse, so take a more relaxed attitude.

Im now in my fifties and any symptoms have not hurt me. But see your doctor first and go from there

you are going to be ok!  Don’t let anxiety control you 😁❤️

Hi Ron

I am 18 with severe health anxiety also. Floaters and shortness of breath are very common symptoms of anxiety. If you are worried it wouldn’t hurt to go to your doctor and have them reassure you everything is okay, especially if you have health anxiety. I have many physical symptoms of anxiety including chest pains, shortness of breath, tension headaches, the list goes on. They are not harmful, just uncomfortable and a bit annoying! Try to relax and keep your mind off it. Best of luck to you x

For your eyes you can purchase drops in the Chemist that will keep your eyes moist, they are not expensive and a prescription is not needed. My Wife uses drops both in morning and evening and they do work.

Regards shortness of breath when you awake, sometimes this can be caused by being blocked up in the nose. Sometimes this can be made worse if you have various types of Central Heating or a very warm bedroom. If the air is dry the discharge in your nose will block it and you will feel breathless.

If you have had a cold this can also cause problems, the same with the flu. Decongestants can also be purchased at a chemist or Supermarket. However the chemist can advise on something to help you.

If your problem still remains, try extra fluids or place a jug of water next to the heater source, this will moisten the air in the room.

Remember you have your GP to visit if you become Anxious.
