MORNING to all 😘

Yippitee Dippitee.......Sunday night over here in Oz......countdown to my surgery this week......bring IT on....I'm anxiously hanging for Friday, can't wait to be on that road to recovery.....FINALLY.

Hope you all had a restful as possible nights sleep and have a lovely lovely Sunday 😘❌❌❌❌

I hope it goes well for you. It worked well for me, and psychologically the pain of recovery is more bearable. I'm 5 months in after capsular release surgery and my life is back on track, it does ache sometimes but that is nothing in comparison to the daily grind of excruciating pain.

It's all about getting better after Friday!!

Best wishes

Karen

Good luck kerri, I hope it all works out for you. Make sure you behave after the op ;-) and follow the rules to get you to a speedy recovery. Got everything crossed for Friday. xx

Thanks Karen.....I'm sure there will be pain after op....but im hoping it will improve even just a little day by day 😊❤️

thanks Luvvy....oh trust me....I will be the perfect patient after op, will only do exactly what they tell me to do and how they tell me to do it. I want SO bad to be pain free. I want to sleep on my side in my bed, I want to be able to pick my baby grandson up, I want to be able to get dressed without help and pull my jeans up after the toilet.

it will be a huge weight off your shoulders after the op excuse the pun lol ,

Pun excused...lol

How are you doing today my love

Any difference after your injection yet?

not too bad today , the pain seems to be more of a dull ache , but i want rid all together , and pain relief doesnt cure the problem

Oh Jim....that's great news, maybe the injection IS working, maybe each day will be a little bit better......gosh I hope so 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Can you take anti inflammatory tablets just to keep the inflammation at a low while the cortisone is working???

the injections may help with the pain and i have to do stretching exercises over the next month , then go back to the docs , but i dont think the exercises are doing much good

oh take it easy.....I've read on here to use a heat pack before your exercises and ice afterwards. If you think it is aggravating your problem maybe you need to talk to someone

Hi Kerri,

I had surgery in November of this year! I had all the symptoms you have described. Do not get disappointed right after surgery . I still had pain not as bad as before but I was very disappointed with my range . Mine was so bad dr could not manipulate in every direction . I did PT and my exercises at home . I guess they helped. The only thing that helped me was massage therapy to my shoulder and arm . Ice and heat helped . Bio freeze was with me at all times . The beginning of January I stopped Pt wasn't making a difference and with work a pain to get to. My range started to get better and the pain was much better at night . Only when I rolled on the bad side or slept on that side for along time did it bother me more the next day . I was going to massage therapy for a little . That always helps . Today I'm not 100% but my range has improved soo much .the pain is nothing like it was before surgery . I can live with this . Praying someday for a full recovery .im thankful I sleep through the night and can dry my hair without struggling . Good luck with surgery . Some people wake up and are 100% right away. Hope than is your case!

deb

Kerri that would of been surgery November last year . I was dealing with rt frozen shoulder for over a year.

Deb

i bought a wheat bag which heats up in the microwave , place it on my shoulder while i do them , it works a doing the exercises , it does seem to loosen up a little but its groundhog day in the morning because bit just goes back to square 1 again

Thanks Deb for your support 😊

i have a friend that had surgery one year ago......she is pain free but still does not have 100% range. She can't get her arm straight up above her head.......surgeon told her it is a very slow recovery process......which I am prepared. It's just the pain I want gone in a hurry 😀.

im so glad it was all a success for you Deb and at least you have your life back, hang in there you should be as good as new around the 12 month mark 😘❌❌❌

Me and my wheat bag are best of friends 😀.

Dont give up......Groundhog Day will change im sure, it's only 3 days since your injection. I use my heat bag when I go to bed and if I wake through the night or early hours I re heat it at whack it on my shoulder. I like to heat it for 3 mins then I wrap it in a hand towel and put it on, when it cools down a bit I ditch the hand towel. I find the heat can be very soothing. Sometimes just watching telly I will heat and use too 😘❌❌❌

the wheatbag is quite useful , it does ease the pain , the numbness in my fingers is not getting any better though , i was given some exercises to do and that helps but as with the shoulder as soon as i get up it starts all over again.

Morning sunshine......glad your wheat bag gives you some relief. If your fingers are numb is that trapped or pinched nerves causing that? Can you take Voltarin tablets they are an anti inflamatory, just may help in easing inflammation off those nerves.....maybe!!!  We can by Voltarin across the counter, don't need a script, not sure about over there. What are you up to today 😀

not sure what causes it , im gonna ask the doc for his opinion , i dont think i heard of votarin , ile take a look when i go out later . as for today im meeting my freinds gonna have a few beers lol

Oooh that will probably do you good....a few beers and a chitty chat with your mates? ENJOY!!!

yep ask your chemist if they have over the counter Voltarin, get the strongest ones you can. But no good if you have an ulcer and always take it with food if you can get them. 😘❌❌❌
