I couldn’t find a better place to post this, but here it is....
I had an MRI last week do to short term memory loss. I’m always misplacing my keys and phone. I had to resign from my job because of the memory loss. There was no trauma to the brain. I am female, 50 years old. My grandmother on my moms side had Alzheimer’s.
My general practitioner (he ordered the test) is out of the office. One of his staff called me to tell me the results. They said there was no tumor or signs of stroke. BUT they said there was difference in blood vessels in my brain. They are having me do blood work.
When I search for the cause I keep getting results that say brain hemorrhage or stroke. But they said there was no stroke.
I know no one can diagnose me and I’m not asking for anyone to do so.
Just wondering if anyone out there may have heard of something like this before.

and I think it is
A gpod thing to do eacj day are little puzzles like crossword or word jumble, etc
I like the Luminosity app, it helps with memory, etc

I am sorry you are suffering with this. Like any condition originating in the brain, it may have multiple causes and obviously need further work to give you answers and the reassurance and hopefully a diagnosis and a cure.

I misplace them a lot. I was at the store and came home to my family. I couldn’t find my keys to hang them up.
I dumped out my purse, called the store, went back to the store with my daughter, looked around the parking lot and went back inside the store, no such luck.
My daughter drove us back home (she has a spare key). I was worried because my house key, car key, etc...were missing.
I got home opened up my purse and there they were, sitting right there I. My purse.
I do have a paper copy of the results. I took a pic and there is no identifying info on there such as last name, ss number, address etc.
If allowed could anyone help me make heads or tails out of this? I am just trying to get the jist of this all. I have to wait a week to see my doc and go over all of this 😟

I can't say its not because of a tumor because i don't know but i just thought it was because
I was not paying attention to where I put them
I know none of us are docs or nurses. I have to wait till Monday to speak with someone l. At least I will have something to get me thinking of important to ask.
Conclusion
I copied the conclusion of my mri results from this past week. These results were compared to an MRI that I had 3 years ago.
No acute intracranial abnomality or restricted diffusion is seen
No abnormal intracranial enhancing lesion is seen.
A few tiny new punctate focus of T2 signal prolongation in the bilateral supratentorial white matter on T2 flair imaging which are nonspecific.
Most likely from chronic micro vascular ischemic change, but could also be seen with a mild Vasculitic process from migraines. (I don’t have migraines).
Tiny mucous retention cyst of polyp in the left sphenoid sinus.

I agree. The nurse told me that there is blood and oxygen getting to the brain, which could explain the memory loss.

I would try UCSF Hospital in San Francisco
It is called a remote second opinion
Thanks everyone. So I went to the appointment and after alllof that build up, they told me that the changes were too small to do anything. That’s not what they said when they called.
