I called my doctor today to get results for my MRI but the receptionist said she would have to schedule an appointment for this Friday via telephone. Im annoyed that they have my results but won’t give it to me already and I’m anxious that I’m going to get bad news over the phone.
I had this exact worry when I was waiting for results of an ultrasound on my liver. I was told by receptionist that I would need an appointment with the doctor and I was absolutely petrified. there was absolutely nothing wrong and everything looked fine. I think the main reason for the telephone appointment is because the receptionist is not trained or qualified in Reading results like this. try not to worry to much
The receptionist is not supposed to give results over the phone. You will most likely talk to the doctor. Nothing to worry about it’s just standard procedure. I think everything‘s gonna turn out just fine!
