So quick question. I was scheduled today for an MRI scan of my brain by my doctor. He’s a very trusted doctor and told me before he didn’t think he was going to find anything wrong at all but it was precautionary for a few different issues I’m having. I got the MRI done today and the technician told me I would be in there for about 40 minutes. It seemed like it took 5 minutes and when I came out realized I was only in there for roughly 15 minutes including getting injected with dye. I asked the technician if he could tell me anything and obviously said no but I’m not sure if it was his personality or just how he said it that freaked me out.... I’m wondering, if my MRI only took that long is that a good sign or bad sign? I need pure honesty. Thank you!!
You can’t go by the technicians personality. The MRI has to be read by radiologist. The technician does not know the results by performing the test . Don’t try to read into what the technician said regarding how long the test will take or the personality. They do these all day long and it’s just routine for them so maybe he was tired or just his kind of a personality.
They have to probably tell people it will take about 40 minutes but it doesn’t always take that long. Sometimes they need extra time because they might have issues with people who panic feeling confined, injecting the die, etc. yours probably went smoothly. Relax. You’ll probably get results very soon and I will bet that they will be just fine! 😁👍❤️
Lol. I'm only laughing because I too did the Exact same thing lol. I went off of the nurses and other people's body language and voice and demeanor that it freaked me out. I got a ct scan in the hospital and the way the lady was looking behind the window she looked like something was up so I kept questioning her and of course she wouldn't tell me nothing all she told me was that she was almost done I was soooooo scared to get my results and the doctor came in about 20 mins later and said it was all clear.. I felt siooo relieved. Relax love everything will be Fine 🙏🏽
Hi Andrew, my sister had an MRI recently and was also told it would take about 40 minutes but only ended up taking 15 minutes. She’s fine so don’t take it as an indication of something being wrong. The technician must get asked that question all the time so I wouldn’t take his response as there being something wrong. All the best.
