MS Fear

Hi all, can anyone tell me if they have ever experienced a combination of the following symptoms. Im terrified it could be MS, i have a brain scan scheduled next Wednesday. I experience leg and hand pain and weekness All over body twitching A feeling of internal vibration especially in both my legs continuous itching uncomfortable vision burning skin has anyone ever experienced such symptoms im finding it very hard to pit them down to anxiety. thanks so much for any help you can provide

My vision suddenly went out three months ago after a migraine with aura. I am on the fence about whether or not it is anxiety or perimenopause. I also had a brain MRI and it was normal. Good luck to you!

yes RUTH!! please relax because all of your symptoms can definitely be due to stress and anxiety. I wanted to let you know that I am in my 50s now, but when I was in my 20s I had all of your symptoms plus many more and I was also terrified of having MS.
my testing was normal.
Anxiety and stress can cause hundreds of symptoms mainly of the nervous system. That’s why people get scared they have MS .
Try to think of what areas in your life may be causing you stress and anxiety. Work, school, family, relationships? Anxiety symptoms can appear even though we don’t feel that stressed out.
that internal vibration I had for years on and off. As well as the all over twitching. I still get that occasionally but I basically ignore it and it goes away
. Of course it’s important to have a physical check up with your doctor for your peace of mind.
do things to help relax your mind such as meditation for anxiety that you can find on YouTube, as well as proper breathing techniques which help you get control, getting exercise, staying active and social to avoid overthinking. To be honest, some symptoms can linger on and off for years but I don’t even notice them that much anymore. And they only come when I’m feeling stressed out.
it’s all about mental attitude because when you become anxious your brain thinks you are in danger so it sounds out adrenaline which causes many of the symptoms. I hope this helps a little bit! Just take care of yourself, don’t take life too seriously and remember to laugh and smile!
