Hi has anyone had jelly like mucas with streak of blood in their stools
I am very anxious as I have never had this before
I do have hemmeroids and Diverticular desease and wonder if this has caused it , I had a clear colonoscopy 14 months ago , but do get constipated sometimes

If it is fresh blood then it comes from hemmeroid. If you have colon cancer, you cant see the blood. It only can see under the microscope. I had this experience before and you just have had colonoscopy and the result is fine so I dont think a polyp can develop quich in 14 months. Go to GP and tell me what he says.
Also you have mucus for you constipated and pushing the mucus out. Try to drink plenty of water each morning then you will find easier toileting.

You need to make an appointment to see your GP. Get the GP to refer you to a gastro consultant and don't take no for an answer. It could be all types of things and not necessarily bad but do it now and set your mind at rest. Good luck 🍀

Don't wait until it happens again. Get it checked out with a colonoscopy. It could be polyps or something more serious. It will put your mind at rest in the long run. Good luck 🍀

The reason I say is that I had a sigmoidoscopy rather than a colonoscopy which doesn't really do the job. When you talk to your doc discuss this. I don't trust them anymore and I am a medical secretary. Good luck 🍀

yes I agree with you , I had a bad haemorrhage about 13 years ago from a polyp that was removed ,landed up in emergency nearly died , so I am now very anxious when I have problems
Will be seeing doctor , but had a normal bowel action this morning after drinking heaps of water yesterday so not quite as stressed
