Mumps

Hi this post is about my son. I'm worried about him. His not a child he is thirty years old. Ten days ago his face in front of his ears swelled up and glands. He went to A & E. The Dr there said she's almost sure it's mumps.

He didn't bother going to the Dr because after being told that at the hospital, he checked all symptoms online and said that's definitely the mumps.

Ten days after the swelling has almost gone, he has been OK but told me today that his leg has been playing up since Sunday, so this would be seven days after the glands came up. He said his leg feels funny and he can't walk properly, it's not doing what he wants. Then today his leg gave way when he was out and he fell on the floor. I am so worried about him. Does anyone know could this have something to do with him just getting over the mumps?

i would have him go to the doctor and get it checked. ive actually had mumps twice ( i thought that was impossible ). i was 24 when i had it the second time and i had sore legs and arms but not to the point where it caused problems like that. im not sure whether mumps could cause these issues but its better to be safe and have your son get this checked by the professionals .

PLEASE visit his GP asap. Thanks
