Muscle Twitching and Excessive Yawning

Hi

Ive been on 50mg of sertraline for about 3 months now but i am now experiencing muscle spasms/twitching and excessive yawning... is this common or dangerous?

Hey I started off on the for 4 weeks and I am now on 100mg and I got the muscle twitching and jaw clenching and also yawning it should pass in time

I have been taking 100mg Sertraline since December 08 and I have a real problem with yawning all the time. I'm also very tired particularly after I take the tablets. I have been taking them in the morning with breakfast, but by mid-morning I'm feeling very sleepy, so I may switch to taking them at bedtime. I also suffer from occasional muscle twitches, it's worse when I'm tired, but they often pass quickly.

I think these are common symptoms, but if you are concerned you should speak to your doctor.

I also experience the yawning and muscle twitching. I was started off on the usual 25 mg of zoloft and then went to 50 mg. I was still having so much anxiety after two weeks on the 50 mg that my Pdoc increased my dose to 100 mg. It was at that point that I developed the twitching. My Pdoc backed my dosage down to 75 mg and the twitching as subsided a bit, but I still get them from time to time. Like the previous posters, its mostly when I'm really exhausted.

Its interesting that most sites list twitchign as a side effect under the \"incidence unknown\" heading. What the heck does that mean. Its either a side effect or it isn't.

I am on a low dose of sertraline and I have twitching, mild cramping of my leg muscles, and a burning-sensation in my arms. I called my gp and he told me these things are not common, but normal. I'm worried, though. Any advice?

Barfly, i changed taking my medication from breakfast to about 8pm now, i stay awake all day as i was taking them with breakfast by which time i was sleepy again...

hope you feel better 8)
