Last year I had severe chest pain 3 times and had to go to hospital. It was the worst pain I’ve ever felt and literally thought I was going to die.
After a bloods, chest x ray and chest CT they diagnosed me as having MSK and or Anxiety.
This happend in January and started with an initial sharp pain.
My heart rate was elevated for several month but GP said it was anxiety.
I devlopered heavy breathing.
I went to CBT and Accupuncturist, they found some big knots in my back on both sides.
By July the breathing calmed down and the pain was more an occasional discomfort.
It’s. One year since it started and I’ve started to get the chest pains again.
I was checking my heart rate All the time and it was high, even just sitting down caused it to be high. It would stay high after a walk.
Has anyone else had anything similar?
hi, i’m going through something similar right now. as you know, heart rate can go up due to anxiety, but how’s your bp? are you on any medication? are the chest pains just tenderness over your ribs or have you been diagnosed with angina? are the chest pains bilateral? anyone mention costochondritis? also, as you mentioned MSK, any problems with your cervical or thoracic spine? what did the x-rays show? nerve impingement in your neck can cause feelings that resemble a heart attack.
Thanks for the reply.
I have a PE CT scan which was normal.
I had echo stress test which was normal and ultra sound of heart.
All testing was normal.
Blood pressure at the time was high during an episode but when they measured after it was OK.
Ive started to get the feeling again recently it does feel like a tight discomfort.
My heart rate a few days has been high for example sitting in a meeting and talking and it was 120. I didn’t even know until I checked it at home.
Note that since July last year my heart rate went back to normal it’s only recently it started again. Also the pain went right down, I would just sometimes get a discomfort
Now I’ve had head aches I’m going for an MRI scan.
They did mention cortiochronditus but the GP said if they pressed it I should feel it but I didn’t feel anything when pressed.
Nobody has looked at my spine.
I stopped all medication in April last year
Pains or discomfort are only on the left side. They are like from the upper left breast to the opposite corner diagonally
