Whoops. Nevermind. The rest of the posts/comments came up. Thanks 😁
Emma, I just use one drop, and close my eyes, schrub them with my fingers, wash my face gently with it, then rinse under the faucet. Moisturise with a natural lotion, use systàne eye drops or any drops without preservatives.
I was told by my doctor to use tea tree oil. You haveft to use one drop . Many substances can be too harsh if you use too much. I've been using it for at least a year with no tears baby shampoo, and my eyes are great at every check up. Hardly any Blepharitis symptoms.
Hi Emma, what kind of Blepharitis we’re you experiencing ? I have Blepharitis with crusting and loss of eyelashes, do you know of anyone who has tried this that has eyelash loss? I’m so desperate as have tried everything and yet nothing has worked !
Hi, are you on Facebook? There is an amazing blepharitis group on there and many will be able to help.
Yes I am! Do you have the link?
I use Dr Bonner’s pure Castile Tea Tree liquid soap on my eyes and face. Useing my fingers I rub the soap across my eyelids. Over time I have been diluting the soap less and les with a bit of water. It stings just a tad. Once rinsed any stinging sensation ceases.
I also use it as a hand wash. Each of us has different sensitivities and so I would test on your hands first.
Hope this helps
Hi Emma, can you please explain what you do after you wipe the tea tree oil around your eye? Do you wash your face? Do you let it sit around the eye? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi Dena, can you please explain what you do after you apply the tea tree/baby-shampoo water mix? Do you wash your face right after? Do you let it sit? Any help would be appreciated
I just leave it on, followed by blephasol.
Working wonders.
You leave it on without rinsing. Wash your face before, not after.
Do you leave the solution on your eyes or rinse after application?
I have sensitive skin. Do you rinse the solution after application on your eyes? I can’t imagine leaving it on.
I actually rinse the tea tree soap just like I would with my face.
In addition, I also use Cliredex mentioned above every other week or so. They are expensive, so I cut in half and keep the unused half in a small plastic sealable bag. I use 2 nights in a row and leave on over night. These are definitely strong so test lightly. However the stinging does go away after a short time.
good luck
Bought tea tree oil today. Going to try it tonight. Hoping it helps. Thanks for the help.
How much water and baby shampoo?
Formula for 1 drop of teatree oil I get that..Now how much water and howmuch baby shanpoo?
Hi there,
Bought a hundred percent tree oil mixed it with water first and it felt so great on my eyelids then I went and got baby shampoo and did it again I think this is going to work it's already feeling better and this is only day one and only second application thank you so much for the information.
Sarah, just use a drop of the Tea Tree Oil with the no tears baby shampoo, about the size of a dime,or a little less Close your eyes and rub gently all over your eyes getting the edge of your eyelids well. Then rinse your eyes and face under the faucet. Pat you face and eyes gently dry. Apply a gentle moisturizer. Use a good eyedrop like Systane.
so helpful reading your take on different remedies, just been diagnosed with this condition only in one eye using the tea tree oil also heat pad, is it safe to use eye drops to help the dry eye and which can you recommend.
