My 3rd day of Citalopram 20 mg and feeling even more worse

Today is my 3rd of citalopram and I am feeling even more worse. I took escitalopram 10 mg for about 1 year and I was feeling good then I decided to left taking it. Now my depression come back again and I am feeling dizzy even more sad. I went to my GP and explains everything He put me on citalopram 20 mg. What should I do I want to die??????

All antidepresants take a while to start to work, sometimes weeks? Maybe you need to go back to your gp as he should of explained that? Just try stay strong and focused, things will get better,

They feel worse before they get better, trust me, you need to give them time to kick in,  I know it's hard to get told hang on but you realy have to, give it a few more days let the chemicals build up and you will notice the difference, wanting to die is the easy way out, but that's wrong you will hurt the people around you and. Can you explain exactly how you are feeling?

Hi Faizi, I'm on the same meds only a higher dose.  I was told by my GP that they can take upto 4 weeks to really get into the system but this is different for everyone.  If you have serious thoughts of harming yourself then visit your GP or better an A&E and explain this. They can get you seen by a mental health specialist. It maybe Citalopram isn't for you and an alternative will be better.

Keep talking, it can help sometimes.

This happened to me with Citalopram and in fact, all ADs. Day 3 is very early!

I was on those for a week and they made me so ill I lost a stone and a half in a week. . If there still making you bad after a week go back and ask for them to be changed. . Im on 50mg of sertraline atm and although they haven't kicked in properly they haven't made me ill
