My anxiety had gone away bur now is back. Any help would be great

Hi Guys, So I started having panic attacks last year, quite badly, they were constant for about 2 weeks. I am 42 and this was the first time it had happened. I took Lexapro, this helped a lot but it made me gain a great deal of weight. After about 9 months I slowly weaned off leaxapro. Was feeling great for a while, then the anxiety started again. The doctor recommended a drug called Valdoxan, I have been taking it for about 6 weeks, I was feeling ok for a bit and then this week my panic attacks have started again. The stress of them is exhausting, always worried about when they will come back. Any suggestions??? I am sick of constantly worrying about my health. Thanks in advance

Hi Oscar l would go back to your doctor and tell him how you are feeling.Perhaps you need your dosage increased or to change medication. You don't say if you are having therapy.lf not ask them to refer you as medication on its own is not the answer. In the meantime go to you tube and find ways to deal with panic attacks meditation mindfulness etc. Also exercise is a good tool to use.Keep practicing everyday and it should pay off.

Hi Oscar, I agree with Marleen, you could do with referral for CBT to help you deal with these attacks, meds are still great when you find one that works.

Look on YouTube about handling anxiety attacks, the practice don't work overnight it takes regular practice.
