My daughter is coming Home from NEW Zealand!!

Hi All,

Just wanted you all to know that my daughter is coming home in Oct .

All my prayers have been answered.

So excited to be able to see my grandchildren & her again after many ,many years.

She wants me to go back with her , but I feel it is too soon, I doubt I would get travel insurance anyway.

Maybe next year.

However I am now down to 25 mg of steroids, hoping to drop in another weeks time to 20mg.

Fingers crossed all will be well.

I must admit since dropping to 25mg, I have been feeling a lot better mentally & physically.

Still weak muscles, aching hips & back, but coping with it much better.

Thank you all for your kind messages, much appreciated.

Amycakes.

:magic: :rainbow: :ok: :bubbly: :wow:

How super for you! And it's a while until October - don't give up yet. However - an old friend always said that a pleasure deferred is a pleasure gained! She visits you, goes home, you visit her - double dose of fun!

Fantastic news from you - what a great morale boost for you now with something really special to look forward to, and great news as well that you are feeling so much better, and in 6 months time when your daughter and grandchildren arrive you will, hopefully, be feeling just like your old self again.

My very best wishes :goodluck: :bubbly: :magic:

Oh, how lovely for you, Amycakes! Really something to look forward to, and I bet you all get so excited as the summer passes.

Where does your daughter live in NZ? Mine's in Wangatui, North Island.

Hi Amycakes,

so very pleased for you that your daughter is coming over to visit later this year. Do try and go back with her it will be lovely for you.

Best wishes,

Molly.

Hello Amycakes

That is great news and will give you a real lift and 6 months can make quite a difference in PMR and i think most of us feel better generally when the steroids decrease

Mollycoo so sorry about your arm I had a message Friday that one of our friends had broken her arm One of our friends who has a few hairdressing salons has told her to just pop in to have her hair done as most of us cant think of anything worse than our husbands doing our hair !!

Very busy weekend but sorry to hear our weather is due to break!!

Hi Amycakes,

Delighted to hear that your daughter is coming to visit...the time will fly by until she gets here and it really is something wonderful for you to look forward to....and who knows, you might feel well enough by then to go back for a while with them

Love, Pauline.

How wonderful amycakes....... something great to look forward to.....

Thank you all for your lovely messages, I am soooo excited , just to be able to see her face & hug her.

I can't go back with her yet ,as the cost is so much & we are helping her out with fares etc, BUT next year , now then who knows , tighten our belts & I am sure I can make it.

Something to work on anyway.

Hi Nefret, she lives in Prebbleton , just outside Christchurch, she used to live in Blenheim, but moved a few months ago.My son lives in Auckland, he emigrated 3 years ago, but my daughter married a Kiwi, & has been there about 15 years now.She loves it there too, & of course my grandchildren have the accent now.even the ones who went 3 years ago, amazing!

Cheers Amycakes.
