hi all...I thought I'd give you'll an update on how my eye surgery went. A VERY long story short....after giving me "the twilight medication" I was left alone for about 15m. when the doc came back into the room, he had a look of horror on his face. he told me my lips were blue and I was white as a sheet....I felt ok, but he took my blood oxygen and it was 53! it's sposed to be 95-100! after conferring with another doc, they agreed to proceed but only if I'd except no more anesthesia! I was already prepped and psyched out, so i agreed. needless to say, i felt and SAW everything. was quite unpleasant to say the least! it seems I can't do ANYTHING normal! anyway. I was sposed to go back today and had to cancel as I was so sick! (Nerves??)... I'm using all my drops and have my patch on....the rest will have to wait. so, that's my sad story.....
Was the return appointment to check the surgery? Sorry to sound harsh - but that is essential.

if your sight is better it was worth it.
my hubby said just do as they say and you will be fine. he had his eye out when he had a op for detached retina and was awake his advice let people do things for you rest rest and rest
yes it was…I’ve been in constant phone contact with them. hoping to get back on Friday!
I have had 2 cataracts and one detached retina. All were not pleasant. You have been through the mill. Take it very easy and do not do anything taxing, rest and let your eye (and you ) heal!
thx floramac…I’m doing just that ad I’m not feeling well at all. I think I may have stressed myself out too much thinking about this, and now my bodies telling me so!
on the bright side, I’ve got NO appetite at all so maybe I’ll drop a few lbs!
It sounds like you have been through more than your share. What was the eye surgery for? Did they use laser?
no Patricia…it was cataract surgery. and I’m SO sick now…I don’t think from the surgery tho.
