So basically it hurts to the touch. Its hard to say as im not a md and i dont see any concrete evidence of herpes as i been long enough on this site to spot em. If hes very concerned i would say go to the doctor and do an igg test. I dont see sores so cant do a swab. Just wait it out and check day by day how they heal. It does look like a sore but then again it could be anything. How is it looking today? did u ask him

And also just bc someone uses protection doesnt mean youre safe 100%. You can get hsv1 by receiving oral sex.
