I had a haemorrhoidectomy and a staple procedure along with a fisher repaired and I'm now on week 5 and not feeling good
Hi Donna I know the feeling I only started feeling better by week six. If your pain is getting to you I would go see your doctor there might be something that isnt healing? All the best in your recovery.
Hi Nesian ,
Thankyou for replying ,I've had up and down days but yesterday was my worse emotional and physically , I'm on alot a pain relief and now just been told by my doctor that the ibuprofen could be causing more side effects so I'm stopping them as by bowel movements are very unsettled and I'm so scared I'm going to have a accident . Also could I ask what pain relief you are on ?. Also two other things I feel like I'm passing a knife when going to the toilet with blood on occasion and sounds disgusting but also a sticky mucus . I wish I never went for the operation xx
Hi Donna
I had my opp 7 weeks ago today and this has not been easy! For me I have to say the fisher has been the hardest to cope with, I still have problems with it and was told by my consultant that along with the botox she gave it could take up to 3 months to heal...such a horrid issue to have to deal with...I have to say I don't regret having the opp, remain strong and positive it does get better, iin time everything down there will heal. Try coming of the ibuprofen and see how you cope you mite surprise yourself, i don't take anything as for me i feel e i don't and the mucus is normal according to my consultant :-)
Wishing you all the best.
Thankyou so much ,everyday I feel different it's so painful to go to the loo I take a stress ball in with me . Does it still hurt for you ? And are your bowel passing normal now ,I've had terrible diarrhoea and today is my first day without any of my medication x
I'm convinced I have IBS as I go through days of diarrhoea and other days I can't go and feel constipated but I just stick to the foods I no work and drink gallons of water or anything with liquid ...some days I feel like I'm on the road to recovery and other days (like today) I feel like I'm no where there yet due to the pain when I go loo. I wouldn't say I'm in severe pain when having a bm but it certainly isn't comfortable and takes effort. Warm water is still a must after I'm done if I've got time I'll jump into the bath tub other days it's just a shower and on really bad days I can only manage a sitz bath. I then I just wait for the discomfort to pass, really isn't ideal situation to be in but I'm being optimistic as I'm in a better position then before the op so that's something rite?....how are you feeling so far? Xx
