Yes that is part of it. 

I go to a reumitologist and she had suggested that I had "soft tissue " pain. In other words FM and gave me information on FIbromyalgia.

I feel very comfortable with her. But will not tell anyone that I have it. Which makes it hard if you don't want or can't to do anything because you aren't feeling well. I usually give an excuse like a headache. I believe it does have a stigm. Because it can't be physically diagnosed people think it is psychological or all in "your head". I have looked for specialists, support groups, councelors etc... in the area of FM / pain specialist. There is not much. And I live in the Boston area where there are some of the best medical care in the world

ok do you have to have a refferal to go c a reumitologist and what is a reumitologist thanks or the advice and help.

I have osteoarthritis that is why I went to r rheumatologist. I did not have to have a referral but as my symptoms progressed my doctor sent me to her. 

A rheumatologist treats arthritis and other rheumatic diseases that effect the bones, joints,muscles, etc. Reumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis.

Hi Mary I am new to this forum, I have been diagnosed with FM a year, and am just  (hopefully) coming thru the worst flare in that time.  I also have a diagnosis of Rheumatiod Arthritis, for last 22 years, and been on allsorts meds in that time, including steroids which I have been on 21 years.  So my history is complicated!  However, in answer to your question I have had the most awful numbness and tingling in my hands fingers toes and thighs (which I think odd) especially duri g this flare.  From talking to others and reading about FM it seems this is par for the course, sorry. x
