My husband quit taking Sertraline HCL 100 mg. What r the side effects of withdraw . He's acting weird.
The withdrawal symptoms vary from each person you should never directly come of sertraline it should be slowed down the same as it is built up can you describe what way he is acting weird I may be able to help you further
Hi Donna.
Iam actually reducing my own dose 😀 I've almost weaned completely off very slowly which is the best way to do it.
I've not had many side effects luckily.
Just mildly shaky now and again and mild mini dizzy spells I know it will stop soon I'm just keeping an eye that I eat and drink well too.. And get plenty of sleep.
I take it he is doing it gradually. With docs advice?
I really hope it all works out well for you ☺️
He should taper down. My Dr. tapered me 25mg every two weeks. I'm now drug free for 15 months but still have withdrawls. He may very well not have w.d.s this far out but should definitely taper. My hubby quit cymbalta cold turkey and was a maniac! He's been off a year and is still on edge, these drugs affect your brain chemistry. You must or should alsways taper back to avoid going through as much hell as possible.
