my I R B

I have had this problem now for 10 yrs I cannot seem to find any one ( doctor's etc ) who can help me, I have some more test done all okay !

They have told me to take double my nexium tablets and 3 colese tablets a day plus 8 buscopan a day, most days I do not want to eat as that normally causes more extreme pain.

I have told my wife and my children and the Doctors that I cannot handle this much more and I might have to end my suffering.

Good luck to all who suffer this it is one of the worst pain I have had.

Alex.

please please don't do anything rash Alexander; i know what that pain is and it IS very hard to live with; have you done all the natural things  to help yet?-i know i started taking lots of enzymes, probiotics and changed my diet to whey high protein vitamin drink, Real Dose-has enzymes in it to help digest and i do very well on it; also been increasing fiber-Sprinkle Fiber on my food or drink-has acacia fiber-easy on stomach- and cutting out sugar flour gluten -breads cookies cakes doughnuts.) and i haven't had that horrible pain in a long time since i have been doing this; cut down my portions; please try this; sounds like your intestines need healing- God bless you

Alexander, please don't give up hope of finding a cure. I agree with all that Gloria has said. However you need to also find the underlying cause. Google nightshade foods and ibs. Also google lowoxalate.info. You just might find the answer to your problems here. I also believe that a lot of people are miss diagnosed as having excess stomach acid when in fact low acid is the problem. Best of luck.

Many thanks for getting back  to me my doctor told me yesterday that it's not really the food I eat ( I have been to several dietitian and they say it's the food. ) I have be told and Google it as well most say that I have to eat softer food small amounts and even blend it.

The Doctor says it's like having a bug inside my tummy, the food has to be chewed properly so that the stomach muscles will work better for me to have a good bowel movements, and the least pain.

My wife is getting very up set seeing me in agony rolling on the floor double up, often she puts a blanket on  me.

The other night I rung 2 after hours emergency Doctors no luck one also hang up on me !!!

I hope you and all can understand this because I am further ata lost. I will talk to the health shops

Dear Alex

Sorry to hear about your suffering but hang in there!.  Your depression is very symptomatic of dysbiosis ie when there is an imbalance in the gut flora. I don't know what is causing your stomach pain, but it could be that the lining of your tummy is inflamed and needs healing. An effective way of doing this is to start each day by taking a good multi strain probiotic. Secondly, prepare a meat broth made from beef bones or chicken carcasses. With the beef make sure there is marrow on the bones , meat AND FAT.. The broth can be made by boiling the bones along with carrot, onion garlic celery a bay leaf or 2 for about 2 1/2  hours, then strain it and drink the clear broth. Have this with every meal. Now mealtimes: small regular portions of a selection of steamed vegetables to start off with: spinach kale beans carrots pumpkin beetroot etc even boiled onion. The keyword here is SMALL. Chew each mouthful very well. Eat slowly. Between meals (an hour and a half after after a meal) make sure you have water to drink so that by late afternoon you are well hydrated. Follow this diet for a week or two and when your stomach starts settling down begin introducing a little fruit. Papaya is good, avocado is excellent, so too pears, peaches and especially raspberries. Always small portions. Absolutely NO coffee tea alcohol sugar or grains of any kind. Only the vegetables and the broth.  When you start feeling better begin introducing a few small portions of kefir or good live yoghurt during the week. Also a few spoonfuls of sauerkraut or other fermented vegetables. What all this does is slowly build up the amount of good bacteria in your gut...crucial ! There is also kombucha tea.

I have found taking Betaine HCL excellent for aiding my digestion. Do please google GAPS diet;  what I have listed above is a condensed version. You will in time get progressively better and your mental wellbeing too...you will experience joy and happiness again. But be patient. Building up your system will take time. Months, perhaps a couple of years, but worth it and your family will be so happy to have the old you back. Last but not least, think back to what could have triggered this: chronic stress or unhappiness/anger? antibiotics?

eating junk food? If so lifestyle changes are in order. Be kind to yourself. The more I've learnt about gut bacteria the more in awe I am of this integral and core function we have. Truly a revelation. Last but not least try and find a practitioner who specialises in nutrition. As for taking all that Nexium...all I know is that it reduces stomach acid and maybe you already produce very little.  It didn't solve my problem AT ALL. . All the very best.. Ten years is WAY too long for this kind of suffering!  Do please let us all know how you get on as we are all concerned as to your welfare.
