So I haven’t been diagnosed as having liver issues but do know that I’m having them. I don’t go to doctors because it is too much trouble these days and I don’t put a lot of trust in them.
So I drank a lot at least until this past thanksgiving. I haven’t drank since and don’t intend to. I was drinking about two 30 packs of Bud light per week up to that point. I’m usually big on supplements - got me through the years. Haven’t seen a doctor in probably over a decade easily and even then it was for discomfort from drinking.
I was not having good stool - meaning it was runny and turned yellow along with a yellow liquid. Lots of inflammation in my abdomen. I carry a shelf around I like to say. Needless to say I’m probably a 100 lbs overweight. So I started my research and found that Magnesium is highly deficient in many Alcoholic Cirrhosis patients - interesting since I know Alcohol depletes it. And adding it back to my research shows that it is positive for fibrosis patients.
So what I was able to find was that a couple of supplements (in addition to the usual such as NAC, Milk Thistle, Dandelion, etc..) were implicated in possibly positive role as well such as Luteolin and Modified Citrus Pectin
I also had read how Coffee was helpful and also another potential therapy of a combination of Testosterone and Thiamine.
Anyone tried any of these things and what was your result or if not what is your thoughts?
