hi there!

ive had this problem for over a year now. it just wont seem to go away, it comes in the form of rashes, spots, sores, paper cut type sores. generally appearing every 3-4 weeks. though its generally red all the time.

ive had every STI test about 3 times. ive taken 3 herpes blood tests one at 12 weeks, 20 weeks and 40 weeks, all having come back negative.

i get redness around my anus too, and often when my penis gets bad, my lips, eyes and inner nose start to sting too.

so i’m assuming its a yeast infection or balanitis. but i cant be sure!

any help would be greatly appreciated! :slight_smile:

Your detailed description and photos suggest that you have a common skin condition known as seborrhoeic dermatitis (Google). It’s thought to be caused by the skin’s inflammatory response to Malassezia, a yeast infection. A good description can be found on Wiki and Dermnet NZ, so check if your symptoms fit the descriptions.

If they do, try to get Canesten-HC or Daktacort ointment from your local pharmacist or drugstore. Apply to the affected body parts twice a day for a week or so. You may need to re-apply if/when the condition flares.
