My panic attacks have sent me to the er 5 times

Within the last month and half my anxiety has changed. The first time was a night i was away from my boyfriend ( we live together) and we got in a fight over the phone. Next thing i know my heart is beeting out of my chest and i couldnt think straight. I go to the er and my heart rate was 140+ they put me on a i.v. And gave me some kind of relaxant. The next few days the same thing happens ( very scary) i end up going to the er 3 times after that thinking it was a heart problem but i felt very anxious when it happened. I had panic attacks as a kid and went away and cane back when i turned 18 . Its just strange to me how much the feeling and physical part is so different. Anyone else have this ? Since the last time at the er ive been on hydroxyzine and seems to help.

Morning,

I also struggled with anxiety until I was about 15 then it seemed to go away and it returned gradually when I was about 21 and has slowly gotten worse. The physical symptoms have been so much worse as an adult so I can totally understand what you're going through! When I was younger it was more nausea and being sick and shaking and cold sweats but now it's more heart palpitations and a proper thumping heart and dizziness. I have no idea why it has changed so much but I definitely understand.

I now try meditations on YouTube and they do help I just have to persevere with them. So sorry you're going through this, it's not easy at all.

I hope you start feeling better soon ❤️ Glad you've got something that's helping.

Thank you ! And ive had some weird feeling in my heart too . Ill try it out!

I also started writing a journal. It really helped me identify triggers for anxiety/panic attacks and I can more easily recognise the things that do work. I find a pattern starts to form in my writing. Not for everyone and its hard to get used to writing in a journal but it gets easier. Worth a go

I would suggest trying natural medicines. I will leave a link to the one that did wonders for me if your interested in that at all.
