i been having sex with the same person for a while now(7 mo). i had been having symptoms of a std a month ago before he got locked up and went to my gyn to go get tested . turned out i had trich and bv but also she said i was positive for herpes. i got treated for my trich & bv but i couldn't believe that i had herpes that was the last thing i would think i had because i haven't had any symptoms nor breakouts so i wasn't really sure abt that info so i made another appointment for blood work because i wasn't sure if the swab test was accurate because i haven't had a herpes break out to get swabbed for . while im waiting for my my appointment iv been really itchy down there and my skin has been peeling and burning but it doesn't hurt been i pee & i haven't had any bumps or lesions . is this a herpes break out ??
It doesn’t look like herpes at all. However, you should check to see if you have lichen sclerosus.
It might have been to early for a blood test. It can take up to 12-16 weeks to develop antibodies. If your blood test is negative, it would be good if your partner could get tested for HSV 1 and 2 antibodies. If he is negative and you as well at the moment, it is unlikely that you have herpes.
On the first two pictures it looks a bit like it might be herpes. But it can be caused by something else as well.
It is good that you don’t fully believe your swap test without confirmation because you did not have any lesion at that time.
