At 10 years old most boys don’t get erections. That comes a year or two later when they enter puberty.
I think you are pressurising the situation, let your son develop in his own time and things will likely turn out fine. We all develop at a different rate or pace, there is still a great deal of time for your son’s natural development to take place - what occurs naturally for a few boys at 8 or 9 YOA occurs for far more boys between 12 and 16 YOA, and for a few even later than this.
