I thought I was starting to get better and more relaxed and moving away from health anxiety, but yesterday my throat tightness and feeling where I couldn't breathe when I walked was still going and then last night I felt like my heart was going super crazy fast. My Dad and everyone thinks I am crazy so they won't take me back to the doctor or ER. I had a normal EKG/ ECG but I am having very tough time thinking this is not a heart arrhythmia. Please help me
ugh I know it's hard love but keep calm.. your fine anxiety has a crazy way of coming back up.. and your dad sounds like my mom lol.. my mom might be worse though.. she sometimes get frustrated with me like I'm doing it for attention. And I be like call the ambulance and she say no I'm not calling and I'm not taking you to the Er either you'll be ok and I just sit there and cry until it passes. But I was doing good too at one point the it snuck back up and now I feel like it's at it's worst., and I can't take it. Something I learned is if they ran test and found nothing.. it's nothing.. keep your head up love.. it'll get better ❤️
I totally understand how you feel. My symptoms keep coming back as well. I keep getting all these pains in different places and it makes me feel like it has to be something more than anxiety. It seems nothing helps. Hang in there!
same here Bethany
Trevor, think of anxiety like a chronic condition that you have to manage. Just like when somebody has diabetes or some other condition they have to manage. One day you may be able to get rid of it completely but in the meantime, you have to manage it as best you can . The one thing that makes it worse is stressing out over the symptoms. When you get anxious about that, your brain sends out more adrenaline which makes your heart race. You are telling your brain that you are in danger so it wants to protect you by getting you ready for “battle“.
The key is to relax your mind as best you can.
My anxiety and numerous symptoms started when I was in my 20s. At first I was terrified thinking something horrible was wrong. I had shortness of breath, floaters in my eyes, weak arms and legs, numbness and tingling, ringing in my ears, racing heart, etc. all my test came out normal including the EKG.
Your heart is fine because you had that same test and it was OK. Many many people get rapid heart rate with anxiety because of the adrenaline. The rapid heart rate from anxiety Will not hurt you even though it feels scary. The adrenaline will wear off.
With anxiety you can have some great days followed by a not so great day. Just try to take it in stride and don’t overreact. Have an attitude of “I can handle this. This will pass and it’s no big deal“
since taking that attitude and basically ignoring my symptoms, I am doing way better now and have been for a long time.
And yes, if I get stressed out about something I may get a symptom here or there but it’s no big deal. You see, the symptoms are not the problem. The problem is unmanaged anxiety which causes symptoms.
don’t take life too seriously. Get some exercise, eat healthy, do long slow deep breathing, listen to meditations on YouTube for anxiety, appreciate every day ithe simple things in life. Laugh, smile. Nothing is worth losing your health over!
be determined to not let fear and anxiety run your life. You deserve to be happy. ❤️

People with Anxiety will have a tranche of tests and even when these tests come back clear they will not trust their results. It is important you understand you are clear and trust the Technicians and the Specialists who checked and cleared your results.
You need to ask yourself what do you wish to happen in hospital if you went back in ??
Further tests are not only expensive they can if repeated can cause problems in their own right Personally any further tests may become invasive for no reason
Trust your results and move on
