Does anyone have any ideas?
How did it happen in the first place? Did you see this after having unprotected sex, or do you suspect it is caused by some kind of allergy, or irritation?
Hi, thanks for your message. It first appeared after unprotected sex, its worth mentioning that me and my partner have both only ever been with each other. I did think straight away it was some kind of STI but after the negative tests I didn’t know what to think.
Well if you both are totally monogamous, then it is super unlikely to be an STI. I am no doctor so take my words just as a friendly opinion.
It is difficult to say just by looking at it. So whichever doctor you go to should ask for a urine test, though not necessarily the one that checks the known STIs. My guess is that it maybe related to your diet; as your body may be reacting to certain levels of things, like acidity levels in urine. What they look for in these tests is to see if your levels are within the normal range (between 5 and 7 units for acidity for example).
It can also be a thing related to hygiene or the material of clothing you wear (allergic).
On the other hand it also can be an infection of some unknown sort. Most doctors are trained only to diagnose things with the catalogued definitions of things. STIs for them mean merely the list of common infections you can find on the internet. If your problem is something else, it takes a little more skill and knowledge to suss out what the problem is.
Wish I could be more helpful, but this is all I can think of.
Be well.
Your description & the second pic look like molluscum contagiosum. If it’s popped, that would explain the sunken look & possiblely the stinging when fluids pass.
Thank you very much for your message, I wont rule anything out.

Hi Rob, thank you very much for this. I appreciate your suggestion and I think it is worth me bringing up with my GP, I have compared photos online and done some reading and it may be unlikely that this is what I have but worth being sure. My understanding of this red bump is that there are no fluids inside.

Lewis,
Good on you to ask the doctor. Yes there is other possibilities as well.
