Nasal dryness

Good evening all and God bless,

Im sure that a few of you may suffer from nasal dryness. I had septoplasty over 6 mths ago and it has taken me an unusal time to heal. The swelling has started to subside thank the Lord but now I have some dryness and I do not know if its due to the surgery or to the RA. I can produce saliva on my own but I take Pilocarpine in the hopes it will help my nasal passages feel alittle moist as too much saline drys only alivates it temporarily. It seems I started to get a sore in my nose. Can anyone recommend anything. Maybe a Rheumotologist can prescribe something. Much appreciate the feedback. Hope all of you are feeling well tonight.

Much love,

Hi nutothis...family member has the same diagnosis and symptoms. Dryness in nasal passages is major complaints. So due to trial and error she’s happy with this. I wish I could send photo. Anyway you don’t need prescription, go to pharmacy and get something called Boroleum for nasal soreness and dryness. It’s even has a certified emblem on tube that said proven nasal relief for over 100 yrs. I even use it because I in general have dry nasals and sometimes cracked nasal skin. The tube is white with navy blue letters. It cost under $10.00 . Also she has stocked piled Breathe Right Strips..... These strip lifts the outer nose  skin up and provides air into passages which helps not dry the  nasal inner skin. They have them for all types and sizes of noses. They also come with Vick’s vapor rub on them. Whenever you want to breath deep and get the Vick’s you scratch the top of strip. Those are more costly around $20.00 for a dozen. But they are worth it. This is how she survives your issue. Good luck. Oh and the tube has mostly homeopathic stuff like champhor, menthol, eucalyptus etc. Nothing dangerous. God bless you and keep you safe.

Thank you so much Millie. Im truly grateful for the information. Will give it a shot. God bless.

No problem. Good luck to you.

May God bring you peace.
