Hi all, saw my GP yesterday morning as I've been peeing for England these last few days, she was very sympathetic and prescribed new medication. So today I feel as sick as a dog and very loose poo. don't know if it's the tablets causing it or the peeing is a precursor to a flare up . Does anyone else have to pee a lot? I was diagnosed with overactive bladder but I've always thought it's the DD that sets it off.Luckily I'm seeing a Gastroenterologist on Wednesday so it will be interesting to see what they say.
Hi Yvonne
Yes I too have OBS and understood that DD irritates the bladder and causes excess pee. But I also get a bladder infection about every 6 - 8 weeks, with high leucocytes and some blood. I get prescribed Nitrofurantoin for 5 days but they are reluctant to prescribe too often as the body becomes resistant. So far I have not had medication for OBS as it causes blurred vision amongst other things.
I certainly have not found peeing a precurser to my flare ups - it can 99% of the time be tied back to eating the wrong thing! Hope you feel better soon, and no flare up.
Yes I pee a lot but I have a bladder prolapse. My DD IS ACTING up this week. Cramping, aching back , nausea and loose stools.
I started a probiotic and a anti spasm medicine. Eating soft foods and cut back on the fiber.
I did get an antibiotic but will try the above for a few days. If I don't feel better in a few days I'll start the antibiotics. I hate taking them but I don't want to end up in hospital again!!! I was in the hospital past February because I waited too long. Feel better!!
Hello Yvonne,, did the doc suggest that you may have a urine infection,? I pee for England and a few more if I get the infection ,My body has massive rejection of all prescription drugs, D.D does not make me pee big time, but I do drink enough to keep my bladder employed. Be nice for you to find answers
